3D Printed PPE - Covid-19 WNC Community Effort
"Not a Factory but a Village"
During the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, I partnered with UNCA lecturer Mark Hursty to help 3D print and mass-produce critical PPE components for frontline healthcare workers in the Asheville, NC area. As volunteers, we contributed to the fabrication of over 400 protective face shields, which were distributed to local hospitals including Mission Hospital's pediatrics floor and Vidant Health Center in Greenville, NC. This grassroots effort played a small but meaningful role in supporting those on the front lines during a time of urgent need.

Beyond Jupiter - Enemy AI Robot: MR-0021
In spring of 2019, a team of peers and I developed the video game Beyond Jupiter. In addition to helping program the game, I was also responsible for the enemy character design. After lot's of prototyping and inspiration, I came up with MR-0021!

Beyond Jupiter - Ray-22 Spacecraft
The final asset I designed for Beyond Jupiter was the enemy spacecraft. I channeled biomimicry in this design; the blend of a weightless manta ray in an air craft form.

That Red Miata - 3D Designed/Printed Automotive Parts
That Red Miata - Founder
As an avid car enthusiast and owner of a 1995 Mazda Miata, I’ve always kept a pulse on the evolving intersection of automotive design and technology. In recent years, advancements in 3D printing have revolutionized rapid prototyping across the auto industry, even making their mark in high performance racing sport like Formula 1. Inspired by this shift and driven by my experience with 3D printing and DIY mechanic work; I began creating custom modifications for the Miata platform. This passion led me to found That Red Miata, a small venture dedicated to designing and offering unique 3D-printed accessories tailored specifically for Miata enthusiasts.

3D Printing
FDM Printing
I joined the 3D printing world in 2018. Since then, I've built 3D printers from scratch, and have spent hundreds of hours upgrading, engineering, troubleshooting and tinkering with every facet of this technology platform.
My first 3D printer was a $200 Tevo Tarantula kit that I completely re-desigined from the ground up. Today, I'll rely on my Creality Cr-10 to get most of my work done. While there are many great projects I've worked on since, I've highlighted some here in the slideshow.
